Tamara Brown

Tamara serves as a Commissioner on the Governors Commission on Community and Volunteer Service. She works at Longwood Foundation as the Program Officer, Leadership Capacity where she leads foundation’s approach to supporting nonprofit leaders and their organizations through capacity-building. She brings nearly two decades of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors and is commonly called upon to launch new initiatives and programs. As a senior leader and a previous manager of teams, she leads with listening and honoring the people and populations who are at the center of change.  She earned her BA at Temple University and MPA at Widener University.
